Irresistible is the second album by American pop singer Jessica Simpson, released in 2001 (see 2001 in music). The LP featured the hit single "Irresistible,".
"When You Told Me You Loved Me" was chosen to be single at the same time when "A Little Bit" was released (a double-single release), but due to the failure of the latter track, Columbia cancelled the promotion. Several promotional CDs of "When You Told Me You Loved Me" with Soul Solution/Plasmic Honey remixes were released.
The album did do well in the United States. It debuted with 127,000 copies its first week, while it spent only seven weeks in the Top 50. After seven weeks, it had sold 420,000 copies. To date, it has sold about 800,000 copies. It was certified gold in July 2001.
